Leasehold Solutions was asked by the management company of this large development in Bexley, Kent, to assist with the freehold purchase for the 67 flats in 11 different blocks. At first it was hoped that this would be possible through informal negotiation with the freeholder; however, after some informal discussion, a significant planning issue arose and Leasehold Solutions decided that it would be more prudent for the flat owners to proceed formally. 11 Section 13 Initial Notices were served on the freeholder on behalf of a total of 59 of the flat owners. The challenge at this block was ensuring that each block had the requisite 50% of participating flat owners to ensure that those owners who wished to take part were legally able to do so.
